Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We have an opportunity for a paralegal to work with the Dispute Resolution Team of an international law firm.

The Requirements for this role is as follows:
- Analysing, collating and summarising large quantities of information.
- Researching points of law and factual issues and preparing reports on the same.
- Collating and organising bundles of documents for disclosure, court/arbitration pleadings, witness statements or exhibits.
- Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including drafting, reviewing and proofreading.
- Liaise with Arbitral institutions, Courts and service providers on procedural and administrative matters.
- Working with the Legal teams and the in-house Practice Support Services team to organise and manage disclosure exercises including document management and review.
- Working on various stages of disclosure exercises including collating, organising and reviewing documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist with general case preparation and management including organisation and management of documentation and correspondence.
- Assist in preparation of presentations for learning and development, training courses and business development purposes, including drafting of articles and speaking notes.
- Provide general administrative support to the MBD function including preparation of pitches, and assisting with organisation of and participation at events.
- Managing documents/files in Filesite, Relativity and the firms Deal Room platform.
- Updating Pitch and Precedents libraries.
- Typing, formatting and amending documentation.The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Self motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure.
- Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
- It is expected that the candidate will have a highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems.
- Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently as well as in a team.
- Highly motivated and commercially astute
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Requirements

- Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 months paralegal experience in a litigation/dispute resolution paralegal role supporting an in-house legal team/department.
- Experience with court filing.
- Experience using litigation review databases (preferred).
- Experience using legal research databases (preferred).
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Previous legal database experience.
- Previous document review platform experience.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
