Employment: Full Time

My client is the one of the largest UAE distributors of carbonated beverages. Their brands range from carbonated, non-carbonated and now drinking water.

A wide distribution network ensures their products are readily available to customers all over the UAE and the world.

The role of Paralegal/Legal Assistant shall support and assist Head of Legal Department with correspondence, memoranda, preparing meeting minutes, following up with external lawyers and official departments and other corporate and commercial legal documents. In addition, responsibilities will include the scheduling of appointments and meetings; responding to routine inquiries; reviewing and proofreading documents to ensure accuracy; English and Arabic legal translations, maintaining corporate records, including meeting minutes, filings and general record-keeping and other duties as assigned.

- Assist in drafting General Assembly and Board of Directors meeting minutes
- Coordinate and follow up with external lawyers regarding our cases.
- Follow up with all the governmental and official departments
- Support and assist Head of Legal Department with correspondence, memoranda, preparing meeting minutes, corporate and commercial legal documents, contracts
- Respond to routine inquiries, review and proofread documents to ensure accuracy
- Type and translate in English and Arabic
- Prepare a weekly report for the management with the update of Legal Cases
- Handle proper filing of legal documents and contracts and meeting minutes

Requirements

Candidates MUST have Knowledge in Corporate and Commercial Laws, especially UAE Laws. The laws, regulations and corporate governance best. Perfect English and Arabic in reporting and documentation.

University degree in law specialized in Corporate Law 9 or Business Management. 3-5 years minimum transactional experience in a UAE law firm and / or UAE labour laws.

Skills:
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and prioritize workflow
- Highly organized, energetic and detail oriented personality who can work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Must be an Arabic speaker
