Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare documents and liaise with government authorities in relation to the establishment of limited liability companies, free zone companies and licenses.
* Identify clients requirements in relation to setting up a business presence in the UAE, assist with preparing the letters of engagement for the scope of work agreed.
* Understand, identify and prepare necessary actions, paperwork and supporting documents in Arabic/English for items such as Board Resolutions, Shareholder Resolutions, Powers of Attorney and documents for buying/selling shares.
* Liaise with Knowledge Management team to update and maintain FDI precedents and research licensing matters.
* Liaise and communicate with the Corporate Services Team.
* Manage established companies (e.g. limited liability companies/free zone companies) on an ongoing basis.
* Communicate directly with clients and in a professional manner on FDI matters where necessary via email or telephone.
* Take full responsibility for and carry matters through to completion (on specific matter or part of matter as appropriate).
* Provide relevant assistance where required in due diligence matters.
* Maintain responsibility in a professional manner on all matters being under your responsibility and communicate clearly with all team members.
* Handle and deal with the FDI matters (overflow) from other offices in the region of the firm.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:
* Be educated to at least high school level; formal legal or paralegal qualification desirable.
* Have at least 2 years' experience working in a professional services environment; law firm experience desirable.
* Have experience of dealing with government authorities, establishment of companies and licenses; knowledge of UAE law desirable.
* Have strong drafting skills.
* Be fluent in written/spoken Arabic and English.
* Be team oriented and able to work autonomously.
* Have strong attention to detail and good organisation skills.
* Be commercially aware and able to take a practical approach to matters.
