One of the Governmental Bodies in Dubai are currently seeking to hire an experienced Paralegal to provide specialized administrative support to two or more Secretariat
Counsel. This successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the operations of the governments legal systems.
You will be required to:
Draft, format, proofread and finalize routine and specialized correspondence in cases, and ensure, as appropriate, that the correct documents are enclosed or attached.
Follow up with Government officials and persons concerned with case progress
Conduct basic research on assigned issues, using existing law files and alternative sources (e.g., law libraries, internet specialized databases and online journals), analyze information and summarize findings.
Assist in the tracking of procedural developments in cases.
Monitor the financial position of cases and assist in the preparation of financial statements (deposits, disbursements and fund balances).
Assist with presentations and other materials for conferences and official meetings.
Coordinate the translation of case-related documents, including awards.
Assist with the logistical arrangements for hearings.
Answer, screen and channel inquiries received by telephone and e-mail.
Share miscellaneous responsibilities with Administrative Assistants and other support staff, and undertake other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the
To be successful you must be
5 years of relevant experience in a legal services environment.
Hold a Legal qualification LLB, BA Law or equivalent
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic, including the ability to Draft with excellent punctuation and grammar.
Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, with flawless attention to detail.
Have sound knowledge of legal processes, procedures and terminology.
Be familiarity with various legal research sources (including electronic sources on the internet, intranet and other databases
Be fully proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and in using information databases, internet/intranet services and library sources.
