Parts Manager - Warehousing and Distribution Projects - Automotive Corporate

Role Objective

To elevate Al Futtaim Automotive Parts Group performance to a new level through best-practice operational and system process optimisation. By fine-tuning operational conditions and system parameters, the Job Holder plays a highly influential role in optimising group-wide return on investment whilst establishing the company philosophy of being the automotive company of choice - for customers and associates.

The Job Holder is responsible for continuously aligning best-practice Warehousing & Distribution management and operational tools and methodology to the business requirement, whether by organic growth and/or mergers and acquisitions, ie; through the establishment of new sites, the acquisition of new businesses or the appointment of new brands into the company portfolio.

To oversee the management and performance of the Automotive Group Parts Warehousing & Distribution processes through the appointed business unit Associates and the available operational planning and warehouse management tools. To manage a company-wide Parts W&D User Group and to stimulate initiatives, develop individuals and actively practice continuous improvement through best-practice identification/implementation and benchmarking through Parts Quality Standards.

Job Holder Key Tasks

* Establish standardised storage methodology throughout AFAG Parts Warehouses, accommodating all brands in the company portfolio accurately, efficiently and safely
* Ensure operational data processing throughout the group is optimised, providing a seamless and uninterrupted service to business, at economical support costs
* Establish and manage a WM User Group and identify and develop best practice and Associates
* Mentor, guide, train and develop Associates and Peers in warehouse management and systems
* Oversee the smooth implementation of a standardised WM platform throughout the domestic and international BU environment
* Monitor and identify group-wide W&D operational optimisation
* Establish group-wide standardised operational and performance reports
* Manage and maintain universally applied key data tables throughout group operations and systems, eg; Al Futtaim Master Data Management
* Establish meaningful Groupwide methodology for capturing Quality data and applying it effectively to Health & Safety and/or Productivity rules
* To optimise Groupwide Warehouse Management system optimisation
* To optimise Groupwide B2B system
* To optimise Groupwide Warehouse Configuration Classification
* To optimise Groupwide system HS Code Table Classification
* To develop and implement Groupwide methodology for accurate Distribution Lead Time measurement
* To develop and implement Groupwide methodology for standardised system warehouse location referencing
* To develop, publish and maintain AFG Parts Policy Manual
