Payment Investigation Officer - 6 Month Contract - Leading Local Bank
We are looking for resources to assist in investigating and clearing payments alerts generated by our screening system where electronic payments are reviewed against various internal and external lists. Alerts are to be reviewed, investigated and referred to stakeholders by the resources after identifying any concerns and communicating what actions are required to clear an alert.
Requirements
• Monitor payment gateway for the Inward/Outward traffic of Swift messages for the bank.
• Review alerts/messages generated in the Payment Screening System (PSS) to ensure that any matches found are reported to Compliance and concerned business units promptly.
• Pull out the relevant alerts (as per the bank’s payments alerts matrix) from the work flow, review and act as per the rules / guidelines.
• Conduct review on internet / Google, analyze the information and take the required action
• Assist the team leader to clear the daily payment alerts queue
• Follow-up on any alerts and ensure resolution within the TAT to close the items.
• Ensure Service standards are maintained and improved at all times. SLA-MIS, Error Reports / Complaint Reports / Volumetric figures are submitted to Operations Processing Centre (OPC) Management every month in timely manner.
• Send clear communications to describe the payment details, concerns and actions required
• As a maker in the overall process, review the alert and assign to checker with his / her comments on the comment box
• As a checker, able to take decision based on the review comments shared by the relevant makers.

• Ability to understand various fields of messages and message types
• Good written and spoken English
• A team player
• Familiarity with Microsoft office
• Exposure to using World Check and Safe Watch (preferable, but not essential)
• Good time management skills
