The Role


The Role


The Payroll Coordinator is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:

• Maintain Payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Update Payroll records and maintain Payroll files, manual checks, pay increases, leave calculations, employee updates, sick leave payments, benefit adjustments, and payslip distribution.
• Assists with Payroll audits.
• Maintain records and the filing system for the Payroll department in a confidential manner.
• Enter and retrieve information from a computer terminal: use the computer system to retrieve a variety of daily, monthly and yearly reports.
• Resolve Payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Provide Payroll information by answering employee questions and requests.
• Maintain Payroll operations by following Company policies and procedures.
• Report any needed changes.
• Communicate with Employees & Managers relating to payroll issues.
• Cross checking of financial data with peers.
• Reconciliation of Payroll activities with supporting documentation.
• Perform other duties as requested by Payroll Manager.

Requirements


Requirements


Essential:
• 2-3 years of Payroll experience
• Experience processing Payroll for 500+ employees
• Excellent MS Offices skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent written, read and verbal English language skills
• Ability to work independently
• To be educated to a high standard – Degree Level
• Ability to work in a pressured environment
• Ability to work overtime if required.

Desirable:
• Professional qualification in a similar field
• Basic principles of bookkeeping and/or accounting
