Employment: Full Time

The People Mobility Area Lead is accountable for leveraging all the Enterprise Functions that are involved in mobility services to ensure end-to-end mobility service delivery. They are engaged in high visibility issue resolution and will serve as the escalation point for the business and Enterprise functions that are involved in mobility services.

• Lead the end-to-end People Mobility Services: Service Delivery on-shore and off-shore teams and Destinations Service teams
• Be accountable for managing the end to end mobility delivery in the Area to ensure a seamless customer experience for our assignees.
• Successfully Leverage all country People Mobility teams
• Ensure Service Delivery teams, HR, Mobility, Employee Tax & Immigration and Workplace for Destination Services are properly rendering their services and that synergies are created between these teams
• Serve as Area escalation point for the business and the Enterprise People Mobility functions ensuring smooth relationships between these to have a common voice and vision of mobility; resolve any operation issue if left unresolved
• Contribute to set up immigration positions for country(ies) of responsibility
• Analyse and provide solutions for complex immigration situation and inquires
• Contribute to ensure RMS functions are in place to drive compliance with applicable immigration law
• Maintain good relationships with local immigration authorities
• Ensure working relationship with external immigration service provider in local country is established, Statements of Work are completed and deliverables for immigration compliance are set up and met
• Run regular quality checks to ensure that external service centre provides accurate service concerning immigration
• Have a working knowledge of mobility policies and be able to apply policy to individual assignees
• Provide guidance to internal teams including HR Mobility teams and external vendors to ensure employee taxes & immigration positions, risks & planning are understood and implemented
• Ensure Employee Tax & Immigration leads are engaged for violation and escalations regarding tax & immigration compliance and for escalations.
• Be directly responsible for managing Area relationships with stakeholders/leadership, business leads and others outside of the team

Requirements

• 7- 10 years with a medium/large multinational company in Immigration/HR Operations/PMO/Mobility area
• Experience in managing a team required

Professional Qualifications:
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong customers service and advisory skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English and in local language, if relevant)
• Experience of supervising and managing a remote, multi cultural disciplinary team essential
• Good understanding of business strategy, objectives and organizational structure
• Good foundation in international tax and immigration technical skills
• Thorough understanding of global policies as applicable to cross border assignments, including intermittent business travel and permanent and temporary transfers, and any applicable local addenda (including travel, immigration, tax equalization, finance)
• Sound working knowledge of applications (excel, word, lotus notes) plus job specific tools (RMS Connect, My Initiation, etc)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and continuous improvement skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi task
• Management of delivery of external professional advice
• Strong Negotiation skills

Education:
• University degree or equivalent higher education qualification
• Qualification in a related field (Operations, HR, Finance, GS) an advantage
