Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE

Provide analytical support to the Ground Services department through regular, consistent and accurate preparation, and analysis of, operationally relevant data and KPIs. The position is responsible for enabling the department to make increasingly informed and operationally justifiable decisions relating to the maintenance and development of Qatar Airways’ Ground Services strategy, as well as constantly monitoring all areas of Ground Service’ performance at both global and local levels. Located at the QR Head Office, the job requires interacting with all levels of employees both in Head Office and Outstations

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Production of specified, mostly monthly but also daily and weekly, regular reports used by Ground Services and other departments to monitor and enhance performance. Follow up and review that Monthly Local Proficiency checks are conducted as scheduled.
• Coordinate with Operations Quality and Flight Safety Manager and initiate corrective actions form the Quality Audits.
• Production of ad-hoc reporting as required within the department and from out stations.
• Constant analysis of the above, and engagement with the recipients of such reports regarding the trends they identify, the actions that will be taken as a consequence of such analysis and how these actions will be tracked.
• The development of strong working relationships within all Ground Service departments of Qatar Airways.
• Development of a thorough knowledge of all areas of Ground Services strategy in the company, with a view to improving the reporting and tracking of this.
• On Time Performance
• Mishandled Baggage
• Customer Service – Complaints and Compliments.
• Station reporting response.
• Journey Logs and Voyage reports
• MIS Reporting: Delivery of MIS reports based on agreed time lines for each of the individual reports. Time-lines to be agreed with all relevant stake-holders. Individual data quality measures to be agreed on and put in place for every report.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification:
• A high school leaving certificate or aviation related management qualification.
• Fluent in English (Spoken and Written).
Minimum Experience:
• 5 years with Minimum two years of database, data mining, and data analysis experience,
preferably within an airline or travel industry.
• A proven and developed ability to apply initiative and problem solving skills to varied situations.
Job Specific Skills:
• Highly developed skills with all MS Office applications (particularly Excel and Access) and Business
