Permanent Way / Alignment Design Engineer

Job description / Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Permanent Way / Alignment Design Engineer to support Atkins involvement in its role as the Contractors Lead Designer on the Metro projects in the region. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will contribute on the project throughout the various design stages
- Demonstrates ability to understand complex projects in integration.
- Taking responsibility for delivering complete projects
- Starts developing relations with Atkins colleagues outside of own business area.
- Exhibits clear progression towards a technical or management career path.
- Keeps up-to-date knowledge of new technologies through CPD, otherwise through with the need for technical training.
- Pway Design Engineers with typically 6 to 10 years of experience

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Diploma from a university
At least 6 years design experience of alignment and permanent way.

It would be advantageous if you have designed Switch and crossing and are fully conversant with BRT.
