Permitting Engineer (Water) - Jeddah , Saudi Arabia

The team deals with a range of public sector clients and provides specialist technical input and coordination services on water industry projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This role requires an engineer to present to and coordinate with the Client on Water related projects.

Job Purpose:
- Technical background in potable water design including;
- Network design of potable water and pumping station
- Hydraulic design of water pipelines
- Preparing calculations, drawings and specifications;
- Preparation of technical reports and Tender documentation
- Be familiar with and have previous experience in the NOC process in Jeddah
- Attend site and client offices to retrieve project related data
- Assist in obtaining no objection certificates from relevant authorities
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, contractors and peers

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3-5 years previous design experience in the water industry.
- Demonstrable evidence of having successfully undertaken the design of Potable water systems including pump stations.
- Demonstrable experience of working on at least one design and build project as a designer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English
- Ability to manage and supervise subcontractors
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia
- Some construction experience would be an advantage;
- Saudi Driving license.
- Ability to interact personally and confidently with clients and other members of staff;
- A personal commitment to work to tight deadlines while under pressure.
