Job description / Role
The Physical Therapy Manager will work at Sidra Medical and Research Center within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. This department provides therapy services to neonatal, pediatric and adolescent patients of all specialties as well as some services to the obstetrical and gynecological inpatients. The focus of this department will be on acute inpatient care but services will also be provided to specialized outpatient clinics and select outpatient populations.
The Physical Therapy Manager will be responsible for leadership in the areas of operations, administrative functions and collaboration with clinical programs.
Key Role Accountabilities:
* Take a lead role in planning and setting program direction in accordance with organizational and departmental goals/objectives.
* Take a lead role in the development of departmental programs, policies, procedures and quality plans for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.
* Takes a lead role in the installation, interfacing and testing of physical therapy medical devices during the pre-operation and service activation phase(s).
Requirements
* Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
* 7+ years of clinical experience.
* 2+ years of relevant management experience in an acute care pediatric North American Medical Center or equivalent in UK, Republic of Ireland, EU States, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand.
* Current license as a Physical Therapist in country of origin.
* Experience with clinical information systems either as an end user, super user or build contributor.
* Experience in organizing data and generating thorough, accurate and timely reports.
