The RoleThe RoleInternational Shipyard Operator Tax Free Salary package up to US$98k + family medical & tickets Based in Dubai, UAE Challenging opportunities now exist with a major shipyard operator. They are currently seeking to hire a Pipe Manager (Shipyards) who will be responsible for overall operational and functional activities of the department. Only candidates who meet the minimum requirements below will be considered. Responsibilities Effective and efficient operation of the Department Ensuring jobs undertaken by the Department are accomplished in a professional manner and with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Environment & cost effective Liaises with Project Manager / Commercial department for job planning Set and achieve productivity targets Control of consumable budget and CAPEX requirements Ensuring optimum use of resources, equipment and manpower Implement and review the department processes for continual improvement Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department Implement and monitor OH&S, Environment and Quality Management System Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Section Head |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications: Naval Architecture, Mechanical or Marine Engineering, preferably with experience in a large Shipyards or repair yard with conversion facilities Good knowledge in piping process Previous managerial experience Good planning, organising & communication skills |
