Job description / Role
Designs and implements a variety of piping systems related to water treatment plants, and many other similar projects. Performs Front End Engineering Design Work as required.
Works with a team of piping engineers and interfaces with piping designers in the execution of design, and interfaces with a multi-discipline project team consisting of project manager, controls, estimating, and engineering disciplines.
Responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of piping systems and their compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practice. Supports estimating at each project phase through various means.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, and 5+ years of related work experience, GCC experience is preferred.
Experience in piping and specialty piping design, inspection, and testing required commensurate with the construction of large industrial or infrastructural projects including water, storm sewer and foul sewer systems, irrigation systems, oil and gas industries and other piping systems.
Registration as a professional engineer desirable.
Proven ability to perform in a technical role, good written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
