Piping Superintendent/Supervisor

Job description / Role

Kentz have an urgent requirement for a Piping Superintendent/Supervisor for an immediate start in Qatar.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control from the Construction Erection Phase to document hand over.
Quality Control of pipe fabrication and installation as per ISO requirements on site: To ensure good quality of work and correct installation.
Do daily progress report and update of night-shift activities.
Site supervision and Implementation and Management of Safe working conditions
Hydro Testing after line completion. Supervise testing.
Punch-listing: after completion of work, do walk downs and ensure all punch list items are completed correctly.
Oversee re-instatement after hydro-testing.
Oversee steam blowing and Pre- Commissioning activities on night shift.
Oversee Installation and Modification of the Deluge Fire System.

Requirements

Education and Skills
Minimum of 7 years verifiable Brownfield experience in similar O&G projects with at least 3 years at supervisor level or above.
Proven experience with SS welding.
Physically fit and used to prolonged field exposure in high temperatures.
Experience of handling small to medium bore pipes, conversant with habitats, and Hot work requirements.
Experience with Shell PTW system. Must have experience of dealing with sub-contractors and ability to provide positive feedback on safety and daily operational issues.
Experience in dealing with SIMOPS, Operational interfaces is preferable.
Conversant with codes and standards
Good experience working as part of a team.
Competent in the mechanical field of piping inspections and maintenance.
