The Role


The Role


Our client is a major employee-owned general contractor with extensive operations throughout North America. As a result of substantial growth they are seeking a Project Planner for their Ottawa District.

The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the Project Team(s) to complete the following:

Create, maintain, monitor, coordinate, and communicate the project schedule
Help plan and chair sub-contractor scheduling meetings
Implement sub-trade schedules into master schedule and track progress
Report on progress of schedule at project meetings, monthly forecast report, and status report
Issue look-ahead schedules for weekly sub-trade meetings and construction meetings
Obtain detailed schedule information complete with resource loading from all assigned trade contractors
Review progress of ongoing site activities in the filed
Provide progress reporting to ensure sub-trade/team performance in accordance with milestone dates of Baseline Schedule

Position Requirements:

MINIMUM 5-7 years of scheduling experience within the Construction Industry
Proven ability working with scheduling software Primavera, P6
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency
Ability to work and communicate with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, Navisworks or comparable 4D scheduling
