The Role


The Role


Support the project planning efforts for the execution phase of a $1.0bn+ CapEx project in Ras Laffan City, Qatar. The objective of the project is to recover LNG boil-off gas being flared at the LNG loading terminal.

To coordinate with and assist Lead Scheduler in the provision of a comprehensive, Integrated Planning, Status Monitoring and Reporting function for the Project.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Project Team with ongoing project schedule analysis and reporting
Work with Construction for the implementation of the schedule
Analyze schedule trends, develop and review schedule forecasts
Monitor and report on schedule implications of changes
Assist construction management in developing/reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented
Liaise and Coordinate with Contractors and guide them to achieve progress
Monitor progress throughout the construction process and compare this with the projected schedule of work
Provide constructive suggestions and ideas to improve the overall Project Controls effort

Requirements


Planner/Scheduler will have a sound knowledge of construction (downstream) practices and sequencing of events
Using specialist planning computer software plus MS Office Suite
Ability to analyse a schedule and determine if links or relationships are valid
Ability to work with people - QG PMT and Contractors
Be familiar with pre-commissioning and commissioning to provide planning and scheduling support
An aptitude for presentation of data for analysis and review necessitating good oral, written and presentational skills
