Planner / Programmer

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will prepare tender and construction programmes and method statements for full range of projects across our three Divisions. You will work closely with the site teams in order to deliver projects safely, on time and to exceptional quality standards

In terms of your duties/responsibilities, you will be:
- Interpreting and understanding the contract documents.
- Preparing pre-tender and tender programmes and method statements.
- Preparing contract programmes and method statements.
- Preparing target programmes, procurement and information schedules and short-term programmes.
- Preparing logistics, sequencing and phasing layouts.
- Reviewing and updating programmes.
- Identifying key programme risks both at tender and construction stage and proposing solutions for mitigating/managing those risks.
- Understanding key programme drivers in terms of design, procurement, statutory obligations, utility services etc.
- Appreciating the dependencies required for targeting key milestones, especially in relation to M&E services testing and commissioning.
- Preparing plant and labour histograms.
- Maintaining, recording and preserving all relevant reports and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with safe working practices.

Requirements

- A degree in a Construction or Civil Engineering subject is desirable, but not essential. A minimum of OND/HND in Building Studies, Project or Construction Management is required.
- Experience of working on a number of projects from design through to completion, across a variety of sectors in construction, civil engineering and fit out, including residential, commercial, education and healthcare.
- Competent user of Asta Power Project, Microsoft Project and other MS packages.
- An analytical approach to challenges and a positive approach to problem solving.
