Job description / Role
CDM Smith has been selected as the construction supervision consultant for a major highway project, which consists of widening existing highway with bridges, interchanges, intersections and associated works.
We are currently searching for a Planning Engineer who has experience on complex highway construction projects to work for CDM Smith on this project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Resident Engineer (RE) on all issues related to his area.
- Provides necessary assistance to the construction supervision team in planning and scheduling issues and progress of the works.
- Responsible for the review and approval of the submittal work program by contractors.
- Responsible for monitoring the work progress during the construction, compare to accepted program of work and reports to Resident Engineer.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly reports about the status of construction progress.
- Advise Resident Engineer of any potential delays in the project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- At least seven (7) years experience in Roads and Highways projects.
- Prior experience on projects of similar size required (approximately 200 Million AED).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience on international projects and prior experience in the Middle East preferred.
