Employment: Full Time

The company is the Developer and Construction Manager of a prestigious waterside city in Kuwait which is being rolled out on an unprecedented scale with very short timeframes. This iconic project has a strong western centric management team and systems, has a track record of successfully delivering projects and has been strategically growing and expanding its capabilities. There is a full and stable list of work orders looking into the future and therefore the prospect for long and stable employment.

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for the overall development, monitoring and reporting of the project schedules. They will be required to work closely with the Project Director to ensure that key milestones across the whole spectrum of the projects deliverables (i.e. design, approval and construction milestones) are identified, tracked and that early warning reporting is in place.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Director in developing and maintaining the Master Program for the entire project and to monitor all sub-projects for compliance with this Master Program.
- Prepare monthly program reports for the Project Director and Senior Project Manager which accurately details the status of the project and sub-projects, identifies risks and consequences and outlines strategies for retrieving the baseline objectives.
- Implement Level 1 & Level 2 project schedules for the construction team responsible for the delivery of infrastructure (roads & utilities networks), structures, pumping stations and sewage treatment plants.
- Assist the Cost Management Team in the preparation of cash flows, procurement programmes, etc.
- Prepare resource loading reports and analysis.
- Review, approve and monitor external contractor programmes.
- Be a planning & scheduling focal point for all Managers.

Requirements

- 4 year Civil Engineering Degree
- Min. 5 years relevant experience in planning and scheduling.
- Min. 10 years experience with the delivery of civil infrastructure and building works.
- Proven communication skills with a high functioning and technical grasp of the English language.
- Proficiency with either Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- A history of working abroad and large multi-cultural teams is preferred.
