The RoleThe Role• The Planning Engineer will be expected to have a good understanding of the sequence of works for major Civil structures and during the installation of Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, PCCS and Finishing works. • Review and monitor the Contractor's detailed Schedule (Level III Schedule), in respect of Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities. • Perform strategic planning and scheduling to ensure that the Project is effectively monitored against contractual requirements. • Conduct regular dialogue with the Contractor through correspondence meeting and reports. • Monitor, review and update changes to Project scope and assess the affect on scheduled milestones. • Review the Contractor's Master Schedule and recommend to the Client approval or rejection. • Monitor the Contractor's progress and analyse any deviations from the approved schedule. • Produce weekly and monthly reports against the Level III Schedule. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe ideal candidate should have BSc or equivalent qualification with extensive experience (10 -15 years) in planning and scheduling of projects. • Possess a good understanding of Primavera and Microsoft Project Management software and Databases, Spread Sheets and Word Processing packages. • Good communication skills are a pre-requisite in both oral and written form. This is a Client and Contractor facing role. Therefore the ability to communicate at all project levels is necessary. |
