Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

- Study and review contract documents & specifications and contractual plans in coordination with the engineers of all disciplines of the supervision team prior to comment and monitor the approved project schedule of works.
- Study, review and comment all submitted programs by the contractor in accordance with the contract dates, contract documents & specifications and contractual plans.
- Follow up the work progress in carrying out site visits on regular basis in coordination with the engineers of all disciplines of the supervision team and the contractor planning engineer if needed.
- Study, review and comment all material delivery status documents submitted by the contractor and particularly the long lead items.
- Attend internal meetings with the contractor, planning engineer on a weekly basis.
- Attend the weekly site meetings between all concerned parties (client, contractor, consultant) and remedy to all raised issues related to the schedule of works.
- Alarm all concerned parties (client, contractor, consultant) about any delays affecting on the baseline program of works.
- Prepare alternative programs for the benefit of the project when requested by client or consultant.
- Evaluate all impact on the approved program due to modifications or variations requested by the client and to estimate the period of extension of time needed (if any).
- Compose and submit weekly reports to his direct manager.

Requirements

- B.E. in Civil Engineering or other Engineering Degree
- 10 years experience in Planning Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in Planning Engineering for infrastructure projects
- Exposure in big scale projects in a Top Tier Regional / Multinational Consultancy Firm
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English or French
- Male
