Employment: Full Time

The Planning Engineer assists the Wells Team to develop and deliver high quality, integrated plans within the region in support of delivering the mission of safe, compliant and reliable wells. The Planner supports Integrated Planning in the region, translating Business Plan Elements into detailed Activity Plans and Schedules and supports the development of a Global Wells Organization (GWO) Functional Plan within the region.

Critical challenges that impact the ability to deliver on prescribed accountabilities include:

- The Upstream Segment is transforming Integrated Planning to link Field/Area Development Plans, Business Plan Elements and Activity Planning together at the Area level. This is an area of change that may impact the GWO Planning organizations in 2014/15.
- GWO is undertaking a project to improve and standardize the use of Primavera for Activity Planning across all regions which may introduce some change and uncertainty in 2014/15.

1. Develop annual regional Strategic Implementation Plan in support of the Regional Annual Operating Plan activities and milestones:
* Prioritize centrally cascaded activities to complement Region objectives (including Bly deliverables and OMS Conformance Plans)
* Ensure Region-specific activities are planned in SIP
2. Support Regional Activity SPAs in delivering SIP milestones in a timely, and high quality manner:
* Support development of implementation plans, including training audience identification
* Support gap assessment facilitation, action closure and evidence collection
3. Support Reporting and Effective Communications
* Develop monthly reports for Region LT summarizing progress, risks and issues
* Participate in Global SIP/Implementation calls - and communicate regional issues and required clarifications.
4. Leverage Planning Tools for efficient planning and tracking of milestones:
* Maintain proficiency in SIP Planit, acting as Region subject matter expert and sup
porting Region staff in use of SIP tool and processes.
5. Support Continuous Improvement of Planning Processes
* Actively participate in annual lessons learned process, and local or global SIP CI projects as required.
* Communicate improvement opportunities to Central Planning team.

Information and Data:
1. Maintains the physical and digital file systems, indexes, and registers for critical information and data and participates with the auditing of the EDMS, as required.
2. Manages the lifecycle of the documentation (including pertinent letters, faxes, and emails) received and transmitted externally / internally to ensure they are registered, numbered (as applicable), distributed, controlled, and filed.
3. Responsible for the transmission of information and data to and from third parties (this includes partners, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other external bodies).
4. Responsible for handover of information and data control documentation within their remit after major project

Requirements

* Degree in Engineering/business administration/Project management.
* Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry 3-5 years.
* Prior roles in Wells organization preferred.
* Prior use of planning/scheduling tools (Primavera, Clarity, and MS Project) preferred.
* Experienced in MS Office applications or developed IT skills.
