Job description / Role
General Description:
The scope of planning engineer involves establishing of enterprise level planning system for the company to ensure that all phases conforms with there specified targets and to conduct the audits to make sure that the consultants and contractors performances follows the baselines programmes.
Job Description:
- Preparation / updating of companys enterprise programme of all running & future projects in Primavera P6.
- Review of contractors baselines, recovery and monthly updated programmes and instructions to consultant.
- Review of tender programmes during bidding phases.
- Review of Resident engineers weekly reports.
- Generating executive summary reports for higher management.
- Assisting Supervisors and engineers in delay impact analysis.
- Follow up of issues impacting the projects schedule.
- Maintaining a data base of projects progress.
- Generating 2 weeks look ahead for the Resident engineers.
- Monitoring and analyzing progress & efficiency of each project and reporting to supervisors and managers.
- Ensuring extra works (RFAs) are incorporated in programmes.
- Updating & maintaining the RFA logs.
- Critically analyzing of projects and raising flags in case of slippage.
- Preparation of projects progress monitoring charts for graphical visualization of projects.
- Assisting supervisors and managers for board presentations and meetings.
- Assisting team and managers as needed.
Requirements
Skills:
The position requires incumbent to possess professional skills in projects planning and monitoring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects
- Excellent in use of Primavera systems & MS Project.
- Familiar with railway construction activities.
- Excellent linguistic oral and written abilities in English.
Education:
- B.Sc. Engineering degree in any discipline.
- Primavera certifications.
