Planning & Procurement Manager Chemicals
A multinational chemical manufacturing company is in need of Planning & Procurement Manager to source and purchase goods and services according to budget for all departments. As Planning & Procurement Manager you will ensure the accurate information on product availability is available at all times, enabling sales and marketing to interact effectively with customers and potential customers and accurate forecasts for restocking quantities to be ordered. This position is based Dubai and will reports directly to Managing Director of Middle East.
Compile, or assist requisitions in compiling, RFQs and issue to service providers and suppliers.
Collect and coordinate processing of received tenders through to recommendation of preferred supplier.
Negotiate with service providers and suppliers for goods and services.
Manage service providers and suppliers; identify new, review, audit, and approve suppliers
Develop relationships with suppliers, monitor SLAs and KPIs, etc.
Develop, maintain and adhere to procedures and policies.
Reduce costs through procurement activities.
Expedite deliveries by service providers and suppliers.
Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports.
Coordinate bulk product procurement on vessels with Sales, Logistics/ Supply Chain,
Global Product Management and Planning functions
Manage stock planning.
Liaise and ensure communication is maintained between the relevant parties for efficient and effective planning and product stock and movement
Skills & Qualifications:
Relevant degree or diploma, e.g. B.Com in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain
Management or Purchasing
At least five years experience in a planning and/or procurement environment.
Experience with local and regional logistics and product availability.
Good planning and organisation skills.
SAP knowledge desirable.
