Job description / Role
My client is a leading Middle East based construction contractor. They are currently working on a number of high rise building projects in Doha, Qatar. they are currently looking to recruit a Plant, Machinery and Vehicle Manager. The role will involve ensuring that all plant, machinery and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards by ensuring a suitable planned and reactive maintenance program is in place and that all mechanics and engineers are trained to the highest standards. The role will include setting up the department which will involve writing all operations procedures, recruiting staff and being involved in purchasing new equipment when required.
Requirements
Candidates should have a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or an associated subject and must be able to demonstrate an extensive career in the management of plant and machinery departments with large construction companies. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of all types of construction plant and machinery and will have extensive knowledge of working in the Middle East on high rise construction projects. Candidates must also have excellent management skills and will also have expertise in setting up new departments and writing all the necessary procedures and putting in place suitable planned and reactive maintenance programs.
