Job description / Role
A leading international main contractor is looking for a European Plant Manager to be based in the UAE and manage their plant and machinery for regional projects.
Our client are a well respected organisation and have a very good name not only in the Middle East but across the globe.
Requirements
Applicants should have minimum BSc or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and should have:-
Good knowledge in marine plant & equipment
Minimum 10 year experience as Plant Manager in Construction Industry, especially with marine background
Should have contractual and commercial awareness
Good knowledge about floating equipment, local licensing regulations etc.
Good communication and correspondence skills
Need to travel to other countries when required
Able to coach mechanics and other technical people
Able to support tender department with equipment details and pricing
Provide support to project mobilization
Maintain special equipment specifications and price database
Understand and deliver cost effective way to run department
Develop, supervise and maintain the equipment management system
Develop and control the correct use of equipment maintenance and store system
Evaluate 3rd party charter agreements
