Job description / Role
Plant Manager - UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor (55-65,000 AED Budget)
Plant Manager is required for a well established Abu Dhabi Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Contractor . The business is over going a complete revamp from head to toe due to new management that were introduced to the business 16 Months ago . They have decided due to work load increase and also a Plant Manager nearing Retirement age that they need to forward plan . The business has been established over 40 Years and during this time it has gone from Local Small size contractor through to influential UAE Based Top Tier Civils Contracting with Grade A status . They have over over the past 4 years established various JV partnerships in sectors such as Waste Water , Power , Industrial & Roads / Highways .
The business tenders work across the UAE as this is seen as there core geographical area . In the past 24 Months they have had successful projects in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain , Dubai, Fujarah, Sharjah . 75-80% of machinery used and owned are Diggers, Excavators, Tippers, Heavy Haulage, Fuel Trucks. You must have a strong track record in being able to get your department to maintain such equipment and clearly keep it efficient ,on the road and working. If it isn't being used the business see that they are immediately losing money. You will have the experience to compare current equipment against modern machinery, implement changes and also preserve equipment and get the plant department running into a well oiled machine making any changes you see fit in line with the Retiring Plant Manager and the General Manager .
The Plant Department currently consists of 1000 Pieces of equipment and various trades, staff and plant engineers totaling up to 150 staff in total at present .The business wants to appoint a Plant Manager or Deputy Plant Manager that can develop into the lead role over a 6 Month basis . Gaining all the local contacts, suppliers and knowledge required from the current Plant Manager sat in the hot sit. Once the General Manager feels a strong hand over has been achieved you will take the reigns for everything Plant / Maintenance & Vehicle related for the busines
Requirements
Due to the long term plans for what the business is seeking and the direction they are growing it they want someone with the following credentials:
* Aged from 35-47 Years of Age
* Minimum of 3 Years in the GCC working for a Plant / Civil Engineering Contracting Business
* Through knowledge of machinery , maintenance plans , purchasing of equipment , man management
* You will have a CV and career history that clearly displays loyalty , success and graft .
* If you have had 3 jobs in the past 6-7 Years the General Manager will immediately discount your profile .
* If he sees any chance of job hopping / chasing the buck then he purely isnt interested .

The Budget for the right character will be a lump sum package ranging from 50-65,000 AED Per Month Plus Family Flights,Medical , Gratuity & Performance Bonus every year.
