Job description / Role
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
RESPONSIBILITY: The Director of Plant Services has the primary responsibility for the day-to-day care, maintenance, repair, and operations of the plant and fleet. In addition, this role assists in the short- and long-term planning for future equipment, budgeting, and plant purchasing, customer service management, personnel management, and service department operations.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct, manage, and coordinate the Plant and fleet services.
• Oversee team structure and drive change as required.
• Supervise all personnel in the department(s).
• Assist in the hiring and evaluation of service engineers and personnel.
• Training of all personnel in plant and fleet services.
• Budget responsibility for plant and fleet services.
• Plant acquisition, short- and long-term planning.
• Services purchasing and agreements
• Oversee compliance issues are adhered to.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Customer service, personnel management, budgeting, purchasing and maintenance programmes coordination, Change management and operational delivery. Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Plant, Equipment or Fleet services, Plant or Fleet Hire, Rail or Industrial plant and equipment services, mechanical engineering.
