Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a UAE Based well renowned & Leading ship builder and support contractor for all Naval, Military and Commercial Operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) needs the following personnel for permanent employment. Candidates for these positions must meet the following requirements:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for Planned Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities of all Platform Equipment/Systems onboard assigned vessels.

Coordinate the following to meet different maintenance activities on-board Platform System Equipments:
- Know the PM schedules of assigned vessels.
- Attend CM activities as needed.
- Manage manpower for the PM/CM activities.
- Ensure/Conduct PM/CM activities.
- Record and report PM/CM activities.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities.
- Identify and Manage spares/materials for PM/CM.
- Coordinate with ISSMP and ISSC for spares and material to perform PM/CM.
- Record and report run hours of equipment to ISSMP.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Engineering with 08 years experience in marine / offshore in similar Role.

Job-Specific knowledge and skills:
- Technical knowledge of ships
- Knowledge of how to read and comprehend technical specifications, drawings and setting to work and test and trials procedures.
- Knowledge of Shipbuilding operations, ship systems, class society and regulatory body rules, military specification.
- Knowledge of operation and Maintenance of Platform Systems and Equipment on-board.
- Knowledge of Platform Mechanical Equipment like Main Engine, Gear Box, Shafting, Pumps, Compressors etc
- Knowledge of Platform Systems like Fuel, hydraulic oil, lubrication, Fresh water, sewage, Bilge, HVAC etc
- Knowledge of Platform Electrical Equipment, components and Systems

Preference shall be given to candidates with hands on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment onboard Marine/Naval ships.
