Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

$7k per month
Manage the development, implementation and periodical revision of all the internal financial policies and procedures in conformity with the strategic objectives of the Company.
1. Develop suitable financial policies and procedures for the company and its subsidiaries either in-house or in close coordination with external consultants.
2. Discuss and debate financial policies and procedures with all relevant stakeholders and ensure approval by appropriate authority.
3. Collaborate with functional heads and act as the key reference point for financial policies and procedures related matters and assist in the implementation of all the established policies and procedures.
4. Review all the established financial policies and procedures of the Company, recommend improvements, and revise them to ensure that the policies and procedures are up-to-date.
5. Analyze existing finance processes and sub-processes and recommend improvements for increased efficiency
6. Identify new/additional financial policies and procedures to be established for both the Company and its Subsidiaries.
7. Ensure that the established policies and procedures are in line with the best industry practices, standards, processes, methods and fit to purpose.
8. Act as the custodian and the central repository of all the approved financial policies and procedures; oversee their communication and distribution electronically or otherwise.
9. Mentor team member(s) and encourage them to learn and develop in the department and help raise their level of competence
10. Assist the Management in selecting external consultants for any policy development or standardization projects, and lead such project until completion.
11. Develop and maintain a process of continual communication and discussion with all financial policies and procedures stakeholders for effective feedback.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting policies and practices supported by familiarity with internal controls.
• Solid understanding of standard frameworks for accounting / finance such as GAAP, IFRS, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically in Excel, word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze complex documents and issues, make clear assessments and appropriate decisions after assimilating a wide range of views.
• Process mapping skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at a variety of levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills combined with innovative and creative approach.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem solving and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise diplomacy and build partnership and consensus within teams and other policy stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Professional Accounting qualifications ( ACA, AICWA, ACCA, CPA) a requirement
• Professional experience in transportation industry desirable.
• Should have 6-8 years experience in progressive positions of which at least 3 years should be in a supervisory role in a multinational organization.
• Big 4 experience is highly desirable.
