The RoleThe RoleMinimum Qualification Degree with Min 15 years in PP fibre (non-woven, continuous filament & bulked continuous filaments) and Raffia for carpet backing, packaging fabrics and geotextile applications. Job Responsibilities Provides technical support in the development of PP fibre products. Oversees performance evaluation and benchmarking of TASNEE fibre grades Leads multidiscipline teams in development of new fibre grades Assists in material characterisation programs for fibre grades Develop and implement programs for maintaining resin qualification and performance approval programs Leads engineering project for the development of new production technologies - in coordination with the Process Technology Department and machine suppliers Contributes to preparation of technical and product data sheets and documentations for market launch and the commercialisation of current and new fibre grades Designs and delivers technical training programs about polyolefin fibre manufacturing and applications Handles technical complaints, liability assessment and technical claim investigation Coordinates internally with Materials Specialist and externally with the universities, technology providers and research centres to run joint research programs for development of high performance polyolefin fibre Contributes to the internal quality, safety and physical condition audits of the centre Publishes technical papers on polyolefin fibre manufacturing and applications in international specialised magazines and participates in conferences to promote TASNEE products and image |
RequirementsRequirements Masters or Doctorate in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in PP fibre manufacturing industry, and R&D activities Extensive experience in the Polyolefin Fibre manufacturing and application techniques Ability to conduct long term performance evaluation and qualification of polyolefin fibre for various applications Experience in project resource planning, management and project tracking techniques Capable of working as a team member Effective interpersonal communications and presentation skills to interact with marketing and customers Effective training, and people management and development skills |
