Employment: Full Time

This exciting opportunity requires an individual who is highly motivated and experienced in technical Pre Sales with a proven track record to support our KSA customer and channel partner business based out of our regional offices. The objective is to support and work with our in-country sales teams to promote and evangelise our solutions within KSA and also, when the need arises, across the wider region. It will involve supporting specific technical opportunities either directly with our channel partners or with customers. The role will involve travel across KSA and on occasion, internationally. The individual’s incentive scheme is linked to the successful achievement of the annual regional targets and also key metrics around the successful completion of quarterly MBO’s. This opportunity offers further career progression based on successful over-achievement against metrics.

The key elements of the role are as follows:

1. Work as part of the KSA regional sales team.
2. Provide customer and partner pre sales resource on specific opportunities or areas.
3. Propose and demonstrate the suite of products through the use of demos, white board, presentations, etc.
4. Participate in and manage “proof-of-concept” activities complete with the agreement of success criteria and pre-requisites.
5. Work with internal departments (sales, support, marketing, Professional Services), as appropriate, to ensure success during sales campaigns and/or to ensure the customer experience is extremely positive.
6. Develop content and plan execution of channel partner training programme for the technical sales community.
7. Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, prompt response times and ability to build relationships at pace.
8. Assume responsibility in validating complex quotations.
9. Attend meetings, training and maintain regular communication with the others in the worldwide community.

Requirements

The successful candidate appointed to this position will demonstrate exceptional experience and ability. Short-listed candidates for the position would have the majority of the following skills and qualities:
1. Substantial experience within IT services in roles such as technical sales or consultancy within a software/hardware vendor or commercial organisation.
2. Pre Sales experience preferably within the data management market and ideally with the background of a degree level education. Track record of success within Pre Sales and achieving technical close.
3. Ability to motivate, evangelise and train a technical Pre Sales community to a high level of enthusiasm and competence in identifying and selling data management solutions.
4. Competent understanding of data management methodologies (Backup, Recovery, Replication, Archiving).
5. Knowledge of tape drives libraries, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments.
6. A dynamic, fast paced individual who is motivated by success and takes the responsibility of owning issues to resolution. Understands the true meaning of “ownership” and “can do”.
7. Good client and partner centric interpersonal skills and must be a confident presenter.
8. Ability to participate in complex RFP/RFI client responses from submission to final bid meeting presentation. Understands the steps necessary and can ensure that the response requirements are met at every stage.

In addition to the above we also require the following:

• 3-5 years equivalent work experience in a high tech or related industry
• 3-5 years equivalent technical Pre Sales experience
• Excellent written and oral English skills and foreign languages highly desirable
• A strong, personable individual who highly motivates and evangelises
• Intermediate level skills on Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively
• Good administrative skills with attention to detail and good follow-up
• Strong closer of business
