Our client is a leader in voice, data and IP communications is currently seeking to recruit a Pre-Sales Engineer. You will be directly reporting to the Business Development Director.

Primary Purpose of the Role:

The Pre Sales Solutions Engineer is dedicated to support the Company’s Dubai Global Government Regional Sales team in their efforts to grow Partner and End User revenues within Government client – predominantly but not exclusively in the Defence and Security sectors. The role requires that you are also part of the G2 Technical community and to support efforts across the Pre-Sales function to raise the bar in technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

•Work with customers, partners and sales teams to define, shape and understand technical requirements

•Develop high quality solutions, using the whole range of the Company's portfolio, to meet the capability, time, cost and budget requirements identified.

•Assist customers/partners in the development of clear technology strategy/roadmaps related to the development and use of company services.

•Support bidding activity with timely, accurate and well written input to bid responses. Bid input must be of a high quality standard.

•Develop articulate, clear presentations on integrated solutions with benefits to customers

•Update the customers/partners and others regularly on the progress of projects.

•Support the sales channel with customer demonstrations and technical solution training as appropriate.

•Keep abreast of potential solution vendors that could be used to address specific requirements of customers

•Become technically fluent on all Company's services and network infrastructure

•Develop an understanding of key solutions used by or potentially serving the needs of government clients.

The job holder will be required to engage pro-actively with a broad cross-section of contacts across the company, end users and channel partners. The focus of the role is to influence and understand client/partner technical requirements and develop solutions, drawing capability from the whole Company's portfolio and tailoring solutions to address specific requirements.

The role is located in Dubai and will be required to work within a matrix organisation. Some regional travel will be necessary.

Requirements

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

•B2B pre-sales engineering experience gained within the IT and/or Telecoms industry

•Degree level education

•Technically proficient with an excellent knowledge of IP networks, handling of IP traffic and IP behaviour

•Customer focused with strong presentation and inter-personal skills. Able to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences alike.

•Experience of working proactively with customers. Handling effective meetings, conference and telephone calls to improve the level of engagement with technical customers.

•Solutions driven – proven track record of understanding complex technical requirements and translating this into practical and effective solutions

•Good organisational/project management skills

•Good experience and skilled in technical writing to prepare excellent bid responses

•Accustomed to working in cross-functional teams in an international environment

•Fluent in English, writing and speaking.

•Good inter-personal skills with a can –do, hands-on approach to supporting customers

•Able to organise own time, priorities and travel itinerary in order to cover the customer facing activities demanded by the role.

•Maintain excellent office administration, reporting and liaison with internal colleagues and line manager.

•A self-starter .

•A technically inquisitive problem solver, showing tenacity and creativity in solution development

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

•Understanding of mobile satellite, Fixed Satellite and cellular industry; familiarity with Company's products and services would be an advantage but not essential

•Knowledge of the Government market would be of advantage

•Oral & written Arabic would be highly desirable.
