Our market leading client provide Managed Service solutions and services to a range of industry sectors and are actively on the look out for an experienced Pre-sales Engineer to join their successful team.
The Pre-Sales Engineer provides technical assistance and guidance during the sales process by identifying client requirements, consulting with technical colleagues about capabilities, and supporting new business sales people, account managers and bid managers on proposal activities. Additionally, the Pre-Sales Engineer helps to develop the technical capability of our clients' sales teams through coaching and training.
The role will also need the candidate to create and deliver technical presentations internally and externally, whilst also providing internal/external support and training.
Requirements
- University Degree in IT or related field.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a technical support or engineering related role working with a wide range of network and server technologies.
- 5 years experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex system environments with strong practical Microsoft systems admin skills.
- Technical accreditations are expected - CCIE, CSIMP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP
- Knowledge of managed service provider solutions - datacenter, hosting, outsourcing, security, co location etc.
- Good understanding of technologies such as - LL, Ethernet, xDSL, ISDN, Analogue, Networking, BGP, OSPF/RIP and WAN technologies such as - MPLS, VoiP, FR, ATM etc3
- Candidates should be presentable and have an excellent level of communication ability.
