Job Description:
To acquire, establish and grow Premier customer relationships to achieve the RBWM Wealth (Investment & Insurance) sales and service targets. To maximise profitability through portfolio growth, share of wallet, customer retention and growth of high value customers.

Major Responsibilities:

Business Impact
• Meet and exceed individual Insurance and Investment sales targets through proactively exploring and securing sales from Premier customers, including walk-ins, referrals, assigned customer leads, personal business contacts and new-to-bank customers
• Contribute to the overall performance and profitability of the branch in line with Global Premier AOP (annual operating plan), branch Wealth sales targets, and Insurance & Investment penetration targets

Customers / Stakeholders
• Conduct financial reviews utilizing Wealth Management tools & Premier Individual Review to identify customer needs and deliver a customized solution to meet those needs
• Work in partnership with Financial Planning Managers to meet customer needs if appropriate
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the professional services rendered to facilitate cross-selling and customer referral generation
• Proactively manage portfolio of Premier customer relationships
• Provide excellent customer service, in line with the HSBC Premier service proposition

Leadership & Teamwork
• Work with other Premier Wealth Relationship Managers to ensure a consistent approach and application of the Global Premier proposition and provision of Wealth Management solutions to Premier customers
• Set an example to colleagues in terms of delivering sound, appropriate Wealth solutions and customer service excellence
• Take full responsibility for own personal development

Operational Effectiveness & Control
• Support RBWM in the continuous improvement of the bank’s sales processes and service standards
• Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, ensuring that business risks are managed and operational procedures comply with Group and local regulatory standards and guidelines

Major Challenges
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer portfolios and financial needs, and identify opportunities to fulfill customer needs through use of Wealth Management tools and Premier Individual Review
• Develop customer portfolios in line with the standards laid down by local Wealth sales executive team
• Direct customers to the most cost effective and efficient service delivery channel (Premier Relationship Officer and support staff for service related queries)
• Agree lending facilities (where appropriate) only when there is a full understanding of the purpose of the borrowing, its repayment source and provided it is within the approval authority allocated
• Effectively balance the need to grow the portfolio whilst maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence
• The job holder should have a good knowledge of the bank’s Premier proposition and global standards relating to HSBC’s Retail Wealth business

Requirements

• University graduate with at least 2 yrs of sales & service experience in financial services industry
• Strong financial services knowledge and experience building relationships with high net worth individuals
• Professional financial qualificiation preferred (i.e., CEFA or equivalent qualification)
• Experience developing a sales strategy and a proven track record in achieving sales targets
• Familiarity with financial markets, good knowledge of wealth management products including insurance & investment
• Experience developing customized Wealth solutions for clients
• Understanding of the HSBC Group, including cross business awareness is a plus
• Strong selling and presentation skills regarding Wealth / Insurance & Investment solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and relationship building
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Accuracy – ability to get it right the first time
