We have an amazing opportunity in our Doha, Qatar office for a Principal to lead our Business Development initiatives. Our team has been recognized for delivering numerous exciting projects in Health Care, Commercial, Transportation, Hospitality and Civic market sectors in Canada and abroad.

Requirements

You are a qualified architect or engineer with a demonstrated track record of success in delivering high quality projects to your clients in the Middle East. You have been part of the architecture community in Qatar for at least 10 years which has enabled you to develop strong sales funnel management knowledge and experience, and an ability to identify opportunities and land projects. You have proven management skills for large projects, and are an ethical, articulate, responsible leader with proven leadership abilities.

A self-starter and a great team player, you will successfully partner with Principals across all Kasian regions. As a strong leader of staff, you are able to build and motivate teams for higher level results. With superior communication skills (verbal and written), you have an excellent reputation with clients and the local business community. You are well-connected and able to bring an existing client network. In this role, you will be expected to:

• Lead business development for architecture in Qatar and Middle East
• Seek out and grow client base, close deals
• Grow Kasian’s Middle East practice top and bottom line
• Collaborate with local ID leader to secure business both in architecture and ID and work collaboratively with other principals and staff to grow the business
• Manage client work for high quality, profitability and efficiency, using both local and Canadian based staff
• Personally lead strategic client pursuits and significant regional projects
• With local team, and with President/COO/CFO, set and deliver annual revenue and profitability targets for Doha operations
• Bring an existing client portfolio and local network
• Identify and create opportunities to raise Kasian’s profile in the Middle East market
• Recruit staff as required and resource projects appropriately, working closely with the local team, COO and CFO
