We now require a Principal Engineer - Instrumentation to provide expertise on multi-disciplinary Projects based in our Sharjah office. Working in a multidisciplinary team of Engineers based in Sharjah and Bangalore providing a professional design service to our clients, this is a great opportunity for an Engineer to gain additional and more technical exposure within an internationally renowned consultant. Responsibilities As a Principal Engineer you shall report to the Lead Engineer Instrumentation or HoD in Sharjah and is responsible for all technical issues related to your area of specialization. •Responsible to monitor and provide expertise advise on all instrument engineering deliverables such as design basis, specification, data sheets, instrument index, I/O schedule, logic diagram, cable / JB schedule, etc. •Carryout sizing calculations for control valves, safety valves and flow elements. •Prepare Fire & Gas deliverables. •Co-ordinate with other disciplines and review other discipline deliverables. •Prepare control system block diagram •Provide inputs and review detailed drawings such as cable layout, instrument installation, process / pneumatic hook-up, interconnection diagram, loop diagram, wiring diagram, etc. prepared by instrument designers. •Shall require to lead a team of Engineers and Designers •Attend meetings with client / vendor and clarify their queries as applicable. •Reviewing various Instruments / Control system vendors offer, prepare technical clarification and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation report. •Review and provide comments on various instruments / control system / mechanical package vendor deliverables. RequirementsRequirementsRequirements •Candidate should be a first class Engineering Graduate in Electronics / Instrumentation discipline. •Minimum of 15 to 20 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry. •Should have thorough experience in design engineering in Instrumentation and control systems field for onshore / offshore O&G and petrochemical field within clearly-defined scope and standards. •Should have in-depth knowledge on Intools (SPI) software. •Should be well conversant with International codes & standards such as ISA, BS, API, IEC, etc. •Good reporting skills. |
