Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Report to the Chief Instructor and Training Coordinator.
2. Liaise with internal and external agencies for the co-ordination of resources in his allocated location.
3. Assist Chief Instructor and Training Coordinator in assigning instructors in accordance with the current Training Implementation Plan.
4. Report and follow up any customer concerns and requirements.
5. Manage the daily requirements of courses and instructors and follow up on the day to day issues.
6. Authorize any time off work, annual holiday requested by instructors through the RTM.
7. Conduct a daily brief/de-brief with instructors after any training delivery and communicate issues through the RTM.
8. Sign off the technical knowledge requirements for new instructor certification.
9. Maintain and update records allocated to him by the RTM & Chief Instructor and Training Coordinator.
10. Report directly to the local Training Manger for any daily operational tasks.
11. Carry out instructional monitoring sessions and Instructor appraisals.
12. Conduct instructional techniques coaching sessions for SIE Instructors.
13. Report to the SIE Training Delivery Manager through the RTM, Chief Instructor and Training Coordinator.
14. Manage course materials within his team
15. Direct the Senior SIE Instructor to lead his team in the delivery of Course Specifications (C-Specs), Instructor Specifications (I-Specs) and Assessment Specifications (A-Specs).
16. Oversee the Senior SIE Instructor in coordinating and reporting courseware defects in respect to the Course Specifications (C-Specs), Instructor Specifications (I-Specs) and Assessment Specifications (A-Specs) through the Training Design and Development Team (TDD).
17. Oversee the Senior SIE Instructor in design and development of additional course documentation as requested by the SIE Training Delivery Manager.
18. Oversee the Senior SIE Instructor to ensure instructors are maintaining delivery standards in accordance with current Methods of Instructional Techniques
19. Oversee the Senior SIE Instructor to ensure Instructors are kept up to date and are knowledgeable with their training discipline and ensure new instructors are qualified and certified to deliver training.
20. Oversee the Senior SIE Instructor to ensure evaluation and feedback is released through the validation process and a timely manner.
21. Prepare and deliver training to BG personnel in line with specialist training role within the Northern Border training team in accordance with the Course Specifications (C-Specs).
22. Deliver both theory and skills teaching practices in accordance with Instructional Specifications (I-Specs).
23. Facilitate group and individual examinations and provide results in accordance with the Assessment Specifications (A-Specs).
24. Facilitate course feedback for evaluation and continuous improvement of training.
25. Provide instructor feedback for evaluation and continuous improvement of training.
26. Provide coaching of BG personnel in an operational environment.
27. Provide courseware feedback to the RTMs.
28. Provide feedback, where required, the current courseware in conjunction with the RTM requirements.

Requirements

1. Sound Understanding of the SAT, TNA, TDD, TD & Evaluation Processes
2. Understanding of the technology of the new Border Security system.
3. Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the new CONOPS.
4. Intercultural competence.
5. Good communication skills; both written and verbal.
6. Strong service orientation and delivery focused, team player.
7. Cost and quality sensitiveness.
8. Solution oriented / dedicated.
9. Flexible / both motivated and motivating / self-confident / convincing.
10. Ability to work under pressure and according to deadlines.
11. Bachelor in Training or Training related professions, Education, Administration, Economics or Psychology.
12. Practical experience in training delivery, On-the-Job Training (OJT) and coaching in large organizations.
13. Strong experience in Military Training
