The country of Qatar continues to experience substantial construction growth with infrastructure budgets rising to over $120B for infrastructure and road projects by 2018. To support this growth, our client; the public works authority; seeks a Principal Mechanical and Electrical Design lead for their Infrastructure Affairs Division on Local Roads and Drainage Projects.
Reporting to the Programme Manager – Local Roads & Drainage and working as part of the Infrastructure team, our clients seeks a strong technical lead in MEICA Engineering who is responsible for:
• The management of a specialist ME team in a design capacity.
• Preparation of government design specifications and then the acceptance of designs for completed government assets.
• Design and Design Review of electrical and mechanical assets of highway, road and infrastructure projects.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable with a minimum of 10+ years’ post graduate experience in the design and design review of electrical and mechanical assets on roads, highways and infrastructure projects
• Extensive knowledge of drainage, water pumps and tunnels ventilation systems.
• GCC experience would be highly regarded.
• A team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
