Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

WSP wishes to recruit a Principal/Senior Drainage Engineer to join Highways & Drainage team in Noida which provides detailed highway and drainage designs for both adoptable and private infrastructure.

The successful candidates role will be as a lead designer within the UK CRC Highways & Drainage team in our Noida office producing detailed drainage designs and construction drawings. You will be expected to lead the design process and to be active on a number of projects at any given time. You will report to the India Head of UK CRC Highways & Drainage.

Requirements

Demonstrable substantial post-graduate experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
- Drainage Engineering & Design
- Development Infrastructure Design
- Residential Design
- Design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS)
- Hydraulic Design and Modelling
- Preparation of Development Drainage Strategies

You will be computer literate having a working knowledge of drainage design software such as MicroDrainage Windes or similar software packages. A proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also expected.

Cultural awareness, an open mind and good English communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team. You will be quick to pick up new ideas and skills, and be able to think laterally to generate new solutions to problems.

Desired Skills (include technical or domain certifications/ trainings as desired)

A good knowledge of UK design codes and legislation such as Sewers for Adoption, and well versed in the preparation of drawings for Section 104 technical approval/adoptions.

Design of UK domestic drainage schemes and external works to gain building regulation approval.

Knowledge of highway design including design to gain S38 and S278 technical approvals in the UK would be advantageous.
