Print Production Artist – ACE Hardware

ACE is one of the biggest hardware and lifestyle retail franchises in UAE, that Al-Futtaim company holds. For nearly eight decades, ACE has been a part of the American landscape and today has over 5,000 stores in the USA and hundreds worldwide.

The product range comprises DIY, hardware, electrical, home and garden, furniture, camping and barbecue, pet and decorating products, with the emphasis on lifestyle.

We are currently recruiting for a Print Production Artist for our Dubai Festival City store. In this role you will work closely with RVM and Graphic Designers to print, produce and maintain all visual and graphic images throughout all Ace Stores
You will develop new ideas in reference to print production by assisting all stores with specific print requirements.

Other key responsibilities will include:

* Visual display and merchandising standards in the store
* Creating of communication boards on promotions and store activities
* Proper handling and maintenance of in-store visual display equipment
* Conducting daily floor walks to check for damages on visual display
* Conducting training for staff on visual principals and store keeping standards
* Responsible for in store development e.g.: new ranges, promotions, top sellers within each department

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you have to be graduated in Fine Arts and have at least 2 years of Print Production experience in a retail environment and you will be able to demonstrate:

* Ability to handle large format printers, plotters, lamination machines and cutters
* Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft office, a must
* Must print and produce using - foam core, forex, lamination, cutting and pasting of images, ready to handover to sales floor for implementation
* Ability to work within tight deadlines and multiple projects at once
* Basic HTML knowledge
* Manages and controls the sign studio; maintaining cleanliness, ordering of stocks like ink, paper, boards etc whilst keeping within annual budget
* Understanding of production processes; experience in production and branding
* Understanding of graphic design and photography skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
