Printing Technician

Job description / Role

- Experience in trouble shooting various mechanical machinery for tin plate and aluminium coating and printing processes
- Capable of solving mechanical problems with electrical and pneumatic driven mechanical systems
- Familiar with gas fired curing ovens
- Should have experience in supporting production with precision rubber roller cutting/stenciling and blade grinding using tool room equipment (lathe machine, grinding machine)
- Experience with minor metal fabrication works involving cutting, welding, gas cutting etc
- Able to interpret machine operation and maintenance manuals
- Must be familiar with log books recording, periodical checklists and preventive maintenance schedules as well as preparation of daily breakdown reports
- Correlate product quality problems to machine settings where applicable so as to establish and eliminate the root cause
- Must maintain GMP practices such as machine cleanliness after maintenance activities, personal hygiene and housekeeping
- Should be capable of identifying and implementing cost saving ideas under a continuous improvement environment

Requirements

- Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
- The candidate must have at least 5 years experience as a mechanical technician preferably in a metal decorating/packaging company.
