As a Private Client and Family Office Services Director you will be expected to raise our private client services profile in the region. This will require closely working with the partners to meet with their existing clients as well as generating new leads. This affords the incumbent the opportunity to build strong professional relationships with clients and intermediaries throughout the region.
You will work closely with partners on a variety of projects, primarily to help them provide the total service expected by a range of personal clients with varying situations, requirements and sophistication. In particular the primary focus will be assisting clients develop successful succession planning strategies, and in particular family constitutions and governance models.
A high level of technical expertise is essential for the role and you will play a key role in assisting the firm to deliver a full planning service to private clients including experience of estates and trusts.
Exceptional interpersonal skills are as important as excellent report writing skills, with the ability to explain and simplify highly technical points to clients in an understandable and clear manner. Prior business development experience is essential.

Requirements

Qualifications:

-Likely to have at least eight years of management experience in a private client department of a legal or accountancy practice with experience of handling private client planning, including good knowledge of tax, estate and trust law.
-Qualified lawyer, accountant or tax advisor and ideally (but not essential) a member of STEP.
-Arabic is strongly desirable as is familiarity with the region and culture. Experience of financial services would also be helpful, although this is not essential.
-The successful applicant should be able to evidence management competencies and the ability to produce high quality reports for partners and clients.
