The RoleThe RoleGeneral Responsibilities: Manages the activities of design work carried out in EMS under the supervision of the Section Head. Guides designer(s) / draughtsmen in executing their job within the contracted time schedule and allocated man-hours. Coordinates with client(s) and other departments regarding design (and related) activities. Ensures that QA procedures are being followed. Ensures that work is executed to achieve the departments quality objectives. Job Related Responsibilities: Carries out detailed design work under the supervision of the Section Head and/or Manager EMS. Reviews design-input document(s) from client(s). Performs process design calculations. Prepares PFDs, P&IDs, and process data-sheets as and when applicable. Checks detailed drawings for process related parameters. Coordinates with client(s) and vendor(s) on process related design work and/or other technical issue(s). Assigns job(s) to draughtsmen as and when applicable. Checks design(s) before review(s) / approval by the Section Head / Manager EMS. Executes other task(s) as assigned by the management from time to time. |
RequirementsRequirementsEducational Background: Bachelors Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent Experience Required: Minimum one (01) year experience in carrying out the process design of process equipment and/or other experience which can be considered as relevant. Skill required: Is Capable of using relevant engineering/analysis software and Microsoft Office (e.g. MS Word and MS Excel etc) Has knowledge of the relevant codes and standards. |
