Process Engineer

Job description / Role

* Utilize process design methodologies, system and tools as defined by Company while proposing best work practices for the Engineering Team
* Establish Client specific process objectives, develop process design basis;
* Perform a variety of process calculations, process simulations and dimensioning of equipment as well as review/approve those prepared by other engineers and/or contractors for FSO/FPSO's, FSRU's and MODU's;
* Responsible for preparation of PFD's and P&ID's for process and utility systems;
* Develop Master Equipment List, Line List, Process Data Sheet according to Project specific requirement;
* Responsible for the development and improvement of new and existing units;
* Provide discipline inputs to budgets, tenders and cost estimates;
* Represent the Business Unit in Process Engineering activities including company initiatives and program;
* Perform a thorough review of customer's inquiries and performs, or oversees, capability studies at every step of the design and construction process while maintaining and improving quality standards;
* Maintain reliable and safe production systems while improving efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers
* Provide technical expertise to the project execution team;
* Develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with Proposals;
* Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head;
* Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Requirements

Preferred Competencies:

* Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or other related Engineering Discipline;
* Five (5) or more years of process engineering experience in Offshore Oil & Gas industry;
* Process good knowledge of international regulations, codes and standards such as Norsok, Eurocodes, DNV, API, etc;
* Demonstrate proven skills in the areas of process design and engineering;
* Experience working with process simulation software;
* Knowledge and handling about data based process calculation programs are preferred;
* Ability to work in/with virtual and culturally diverse teams with minimal supervision;
* Be a self-starter, willing to take initiative and be proactive;
* Effective analytical and problem solving skills;
