Process Manager

Job description / Role

• MSc or PhD or Engineering degree in Sciences/Engineering relating to Oil and Gas / Refinery/ Chemical processes.
• 10+ years minimum relevant experiences in process or operation/production engineer in Oil and Gas/Refinery/Chemical processes.
• Manage and coordinate the activity of technical support group in MEA with the aim to ensuring the best team support to Client’s Process sales structures and customers.
• Provide at a high level expert technical support with the use of Client’s portfolio separation technologies in ME for Process market (Oil & Gas/Refinery and Chemical applications) and use this expertise to develop and support customer processes initiatives/opportunities.
• Develop the lab infrastructure in Middle East (location/materials/procedures) to support all LOBs in MEA.
• Define the suitable SLS organization in MEA to support the business development in this region. Excellent knowledge of scientific principles and practices relevant to Oil and Gas / Refinery/ Chemical processes and customers.
• Management skills (motivation, organization, control, etc).
• Good practice of staff management.
• Very good knowledge of relevant Client’s products and test methods.
• Ethical and scientific behavior.
• Fluent Arabic / English. Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Self starter and self motivated.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage test work.
• Ability to operate as a member of a global organization team including sales, marketing, PASS, services, other SLS, etc.
• Positive attitude to motivate inside and outside SLS.
• “Sales attitude” : understanding of priorities, schedule commitment respect, care of personal and company’s image, customer respect
• Ability to establish relationship with external organization (universities, external lab, research centers).

Requirements

• Be prepared to travel abroad for example for meetings.
• Take the management and the responsibilities of the Technical Support Group in MEA (coordinate and communicate activities, consolidate and report information relative to Technical Support Group activities, establish project priorities and decide appropriate action required to meet targets, ensure good interfaces between SLS and other Client’s divisions, participate to the management meetings, assure that work is done in accordance with SLS Quality, Environmental and health & Safety procedures, interview and recruit staff, set staff objectives and perform appraisals, responsible of the training of new staff, define SLS objectives, review needs, work on investments, …… )
• Provide at a high level expert technical/scientific support to external & internal customers (organize, perform and report field tests, propose sizing from field tests or customers datasheets, resolve customers’ troubleshooting on existing units, process commissioning of new units -performances validation-, visit customer to optimize product or process performances -global survey, TFM program-, write technical position documents, papers or articles, participate to congress or exhibitions, provide technical input to R&D and marketing group, …..).
• Help in the development of the lab infrastructure in Middle East (location/materials/procedures).
• Define the suitable SLS organization in MEA to support the business development in this region.
• Follow relevant legal requirements and the Company Health & Safety Policy.
• To keep your work area tidy and free from hazards.
• To make a positive contribution to housekeeping.
• Report and address any safety defects.
