The Role


The Role


To carry out engineering design reviews of EHSMS for new plants and plant modifications. Lead/participate in Risk management studies for new plant design, modification design of existing plant, and other activities from EHS point of view. Coordinate various activities for implementation of CHEMANOL EHSMS Procedures. Develop, review, implement and update EHS management systems and carry out studies/audits.
Provide strategic direction and technical support for the implementation of critical PSM compliance programs and projects across the company. Provides oversight and input to processes for developing, filing, and maintaining facility Process Safety Information. Developing guidelines to set control limits for critical operating parameters. Collaborating with operations during the design of advanced process control Systems. Selecting the correct mechanical integrity level for EHS critical devices. Perform contractor's EHS evaluation for Projects and Maintenance Jobs. Carry out EHS incident investigation.
Responsible to direct the necessary actions that will prevent or reduce personal injury and property damage. Provides a professional level of knowledge and experience to the task of injury prevention and further has the ability to provide advanced concept training to other EHS staff and plant personnel. Ensures that applicable EHS regulations (such as the HCIS regulation) and all relevant procedures and instructions are followed by all departments. Establish continual improvement and reports on the performance to the top management and submit applicable reports/presentation to outside authority in this regards. Reviews all EHS related Accident Reports, attends EHS Committees Meetings, as required. Provides technical evaluation in occupational health related matters and reviews of Contractors EHS Programs. Recommend improvement/notification on process for meeting for regulatory criteria. Lead professional staff for implementation of risks assessments systems.

Requirements

Chemical / Mechanical/Safety / Environment /Occupational Health Engineering Degree with 7 years experience and training in Process Safety, management and leadership experience. At least 2 years of experience in plant operations/maintenance.

•Knowledge and concepts of EHS Management System, Responsible Care & Sustainability.
•Knowledge and application of Process Hazard Analysis Techniques, audits, and regulations.
•EHS Risk Management
•Courses related to EHS Standards, Systems, Risk Analysis, Incident Investigation, and English language
•Considerable training on Safety Engineering, Risk Management studies to enable him to Lead/participate in Risk managements studies such as Hazop, HRA,EIA etc. for Engineering review of plant design, plant medications and existing operations.
•Excellent presentation skills.
