Employment: Full Time

Role synopsis:

Successful applicants will first undergo a Technician Training Programme at a Training centre in Muscat followed by hands on site training.

You will receive intensive instruction and coaching in English language, technical aspects of Oil & Gas industry and health & safety training.

Upon successful graduation from the training programme the candidate will work as Technician at an operational facility with expected tenure in the role for not less than 5 years.

Work conditions will imply manual handling, working at heights, exposure to safety critical roles, remote locations and emergency response duties.

Key accountabilities:

Upon completion of the training, technicians would be allocated to site working a 2 on 2 off rotation and be accountable for:

Monitoring, reporting and acting on Process plant conditions;

Completing all daily and weekly checks including the recoding of data from gauges and meters; ensuring all reports are filed and communicated to team members and supervisor.

Maintaining company expectations in safety delivery;

Demonstrating commitment for the plant integrity and prevention of incidents;

System and equipment start-up and shutdown; preparing process, utility, and energy isolations within his competence.

Plant inspections, verification on plant alarms and shutdown systems, chemical hazards and waste management;

Equipment pre-start up assurance; performing integrity and pre start-up checks, processing line-ups, and ensuring site procedures are followed for operations, plant modifications and training;

Ensuring the safe and efficient operations of the facility.

Requirement of working in remote locations.

Ongoing Training and developed will be given to achieve full Competence in approximately 5 years.

Essential Education:

Diploma or Higher Diploma in Oil & Gas or Chemical Engineering
