Job description / Role
This is an exciting, newly created opportunity for a leading financial services organisation based in Abu Dhabi. One of the most prestigious organisations in the Middle East, they are currently establishing a category management function within procurement and are searching for talented procurement professionals with a wealth of experience to scope and develop this.
The role will include:
Establishing procurement category functions across a board spectrum of 'indirect' procurement activities (mainly Marketing, Communications, Sales, Facilities Mgt, Security, OPEX, IT and professional services).
Spend management of c$100m, across a complex operating companies.
Leading strategic sourcing activities for the organisation, and designing and delivering best practice for strategic sourcing.
Coaching and developing procurement team members, and delivering new procedures and operations to the group.
Establishing key stakeholder engagement across the group, working with Exectuive Directors and department heads to understand and influence procurement activities.
Vendor management, spend analysis and building vendor management programs and strategies.

Requirements
Candidate MUST have the following credentials:
10 years+ extensive procurement, strategic and category management experience.
'Indirect' Procurement knowledge (professional services, marketing, IT, Facilities Management).
CIPS qualification and a Bachelors Degree (essential).
Strong communication skills, and excellent english language.
